In the western part of Ramallah a gauging network was installed consisting of nine tipping bucket rain gauges and twelve runoff stations distributed following a nested approach.

Data collection started after the first rain event (13.12.1999). Based on a 24-hour separation period twelve individual rainfall events could be distinguished in the first winter season of measuring.
